After the stallion approvel for the 2.5-year-old and 3.5-year-old stallions already took place during the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in September, today we were looking forward to the presentation of the stallions of 4.5 years and older at our domain in Lanaken.
A total of 11 new stallions were were first introduced this morning on the hard ground before they had to jump a standard course under the saddle in the indoor accommodation. The stallion selection committee eventually decided to admit 9 stallions for breeding.
Our black stallion Dominator 2000 Z produced two offspring with the 4-year-old Defender Z and the 5-year-old Déclic de Fond De Ville Z. Defender Z was bred in Germany by Gestüt Eichenhain and combines the blood of Dominator 2000 Z with that of Pablo's Axis. Déclic de Fond De Ville Z was bred by T&E Leveque and is a son of Dominator 2000 Z out of an Indian Gold mother. He comes out of the same dam line as Alencia Von Hary Z (Action-Breaker), who jumps at 1.50m level with the Belgian lady rider Elke Appeltans.
But there were also two other offspring of our Zangersheide stallions who convinced the jury. Chadli de Bo Z (Cicero Z x Ustinov – B: Philippe Bormans) and Agino Z (Aganix du Seigneur Z x Cumano – B: Josef Eyskens) were also added to the list of approved stallions.
The other five stallions that were approved were Top Secret van 't Meulenhof (Leandro VG x Carthago Z – B: 't Meulenhof BVBA), Mr Cornet de Regor (Cornet Obolensky x Kannan – B: Christiaan Van de Plasse), Zanzibar Vd Horst Z (Zirocco Blue VDL x Utrillo Z – B: Bert Smeets), Lamaze TN (Grandorado TN x Carthago Z – B: Team Nijhof & W. Ten Pas) and Komplot-Blue (Cardento VDL x Plot Blue – B: J.P. De Keizer) .
