After a very busy and especially long first day of our stallion approval, on which all 3- and 4-year-old stallions were presented by hand on the hard ground and appeared in the ring for a first round of free jumping, a first selection has been made. The stallion selection committee consisting of Heinz Meyer, Luc Tilleman and Gilles Botton has retained 42 stallions tonight to make their appearance again tomorrow for a second selection of free jumping.
In addition to the second appearance of these 42 stallions, the 13 'older' stallions, i.e. the stallions presented under saddle, will also make their appearance tomorrow during the decisive day. From 08.00 h in the morning they will also be presented first by hand on the hard ground and after the second round of free jumping they will all enter in the arena for a the standard course. The jury then decides which stallions will be admitted to the breeding program.
