Zangersheide stallion approval: 28 stallions approved!
The results are in, the new Zangersheide-approved stallions are known! More than a hundred stallions were introduced on our domain in Lanaken this weekend to our professional selection committee, of which Gilles Botton was also a member this weekend, in addition to Heinz Meyer and Luc Tilleman. After the 11-year-old chestnut Bingo Ste Hermelle (Number One d'Iso Un Prince x Diamant de Semilly – B: Elevage Ste Hermelle) who was already approved on Saturday on the basis of his sports performances, 27 other stallions were added to this list today.
21 stallions after free jumping
After a first selection of free jumping, 42 young stallions of 3 or 4 years old received the green light yesterday to appear again in the ring today for a second and decisive presentation. 21 of them showed again today that they can become an added value for breeding in the future and were therefore approved for the Zangersheide studbook.
The stallions Chacco Blue, Chacfly PS and Emerald Van 't Ruytershof each produced two approved stallions. For Chacco Blue these were the stallions O'Blue (Chacco Blue x Chin Chin – B: GAM Korbeld) and Toèmme de Regor Z (Chacco Blue x Cento – B: Stal de Regor), Chacfly Z produced the stallions Chacin Fly Z (Chacfly PS x Inshallah de Muze – B: Pascale Renaux) and Cavaillon Vd Connectionshoeve Z (Chacfly PS x Cardento VDL – B: Kevin Luyckx) and Emerald van 't Ruytershof saw Ember Z (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x VDL Corland – B : Smolders Sporthorses BV) and Erich (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Cappucino – F: Erik Welling and P. Wunz) getting approved.
There were also a few offspring of our own Zangersheide stallions who convinced the jury. Agalandro Keizersberg Z (Aganix du Seigneur Z x Colandro – B: Stal Keizersberg BV), Thor DN Z (Taloubet Z x Emerald van 't Ruytershof – B: Wim De Nul), Dominik Z (Dominator 2000 Z x Contendro I – B: Siegfried Buhl) and Carnet Z (Columbus Z x Cajero – B: Ireneusz Slawek) were also added to the list of approved stallions.

Five stallions under the saddle
In addition to these 21 stallions that were approved after free jumping, 5 more stallions were also approved this afternoon after they were presented under the saddle. They were first introduced this morning on the hard ground and this afternoon they had to jump a standard course in the outdoor arena.
One of these five was the 5-year-old Aymen de La Hemente Z, a son of Aganix du Seigneur Z and Kashmir Van Schuttershof, who was bred by Emmanuel Wera. Another Zangersheide-bred stallion who was approved was the 6-year-old grey Nobel Van De Vrombautshoeve Z, a breeding product of Stal Boelens LV. Nobel Van De Vrombautshoeve Z is a son of Nabab de Rêve and this in combination with Corrado I.
The other three stallions that were approved after their presentation under the saddle are the 4-year-old Skye P (Chatman x Cracky Z – B: Sam Polleunis), the 4-year-old King Kashmir TN (Kasmir Van Schuttershof x Mylord Carthago – B: Paul Scheuerer) and the 5-year-old Cero Blue TN (Chacoon Blue x Balou du Rouet – B: Harm Thormählen).
Iron Man 15
Finally, the 12-year-old stallion Iron Man 15 also received his approval for the Zangersheide studbook, based on his sporting performances. Iron Man 15 was bred by VDL Stud and is a son of Indoctro in combination with Diamant de Semilly. Under the saddle of the Dutch rider Jeroen Dubbeldam, Iron Man 15 is currently jumping up to 1.50m level.
