During this opening day of week two, the Almé Z Arena was reserved for the opening classes for the young horses and Christian Ahlmann managed to secure a home victory in the class for the 7-year-old horses. He became the winner with our gray stallion Condor One Z, a son of Codex One Z and Berlin who was bred by Heiner Dückers. Christian Ahlmann managed to finish as fastest in 59.25 seconds. He was briefly followed by the Austrian rider Benjamin Saurugg who could also count on a Z horse with his gelding Kaisar de Carmel Z (Kannan x Heartbreaker – B: Guido De Sitter). Saurugg and Kaisar de Carmel Z came to the finish in 59.34 seconds. Third place also went to a Z-horse. The Luxembourg lady rider Odile Gierich finished in 60.09 seconds with the mare Tirelire T&L Z (Toulon x Darco - B: Cedric en Delphine Tilleman) and thus took home a bronze medal.
At 1.30 pm the 6-year-old horses gave the starting signal in a table A against the clock and this time the French lady rider Laura Monier was good for the victory with her mere Amira B 3 (All Music x Damarco - B: ZG Thomas en Graciela Bruch ). Earlier today, Monier already finished third in the 1m40 class, but was now able to completely claim the victory in 60.25 seconds in the class for 6-year-old horses. For the Belgian rider Vincent Lambrecht there was a second place with the gelding S&L Cesam (Casall x Cartani – B: Zg Rathmann) thanks to a finish time of 61.79 seconds. Ireland’s lady rider Anna Duff took third place. She finished with the mare Acapella 26 (Arctic x Levisto – B: Ralf Kremer) in 62.04 seconds.
