We have already had some beautiful and exciting moments in the last few days during this FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses and that was the case again today during the consolation for the 6-year-old horses. Exactly 150 combinations appeared at the start in this last round and the top of the ranking finished again very close to each other.
It was the Italian rider Paolo Adamo Zuvadelli who claimed the victory with the KWPN mare Karienh2, a daughter of Carambole and Indoctro who was bred by J. Klein-Holgenborg and comes out of the same damline as Ellen Whitaker's former GP horse Equimax Ocolado. In this class against the clock Adamo Zuvadelli managed to stop the clock in 63.94 seconds.
Second place in this consolation went to the Irishman Alan O'Regan with the Irish-bred gelding Seaview Demontration, bred by James Keane and who is a son of FSS Crelli Bravo in combination with Castlelawn Galloway. O'Regan finished in 63.99 seconds and came very close to the time of Adamo Zuvadelli. The Swedish rider Emma Emanuelsson claimed third place with the Swedish Warmblood gelding Explorer E, a son of VDL Elliot and Lasandos who was bred by Eva Manlig. Emanuelsson and Explorer E crossed the finish line in 65.15 seconds.
The German rider Frederic Tillmann with the Holstein gelding Cashtender (Casall x Contender – B: LVP-Stables) and the Frenchman Yoann Le Vot with the SF-mare Funny Girl DK (Ceira d'Ick x Kannan – B: Earl Haras D'Ick ) completed the top of the standings with a 4th and 5th place.
