Leo Büscher now also wins the CSIU25 Grand Prix!

Today we were ready for the final day of the opening week of our Z-Tour 2022, which means that we were allowed to prepare ourselves for the various Grand Prix this afternoon. The first Grand Prix scheduled for the CSIU25 competition took place just after noon at the Almé Z Arena. For them, course designer Bernard Mathy and his team had planned a 1.45m class. And his course proved not to be an easy task, because of the twenty-five combinations that appeared at the start, only four managed to qualify for the jump-off.

The victory went to the German rider Leo Büscher with the 11-year-old mare Naireve Esc (Nairobi x Nabab de Rêve). Büscher, who also won the 1.30m opening class on Thursday, was the first to enter the ring in the jump-off and was also the only one to once again ensure a clear round.

The silver went to the Irish rider Matt Garrigan with the 9-year-old gelding Quantum Robin V (Carom x Stakkato). Garrigan was the last to start in that jump-off and managed to do it even slightly faster than Büscher in 32.53 seconds. Unfortunately, he got a fault on the last fence and had to settle for a second place. Finally, third place went to the German lady rider Constanze Nachtsheim with the 11-year-old gelding Caiado (Casall x Corrado I). She left the ring with two faults.
