While the finalists can get ready for a blistering Super Sunday, the other combinations started one last time today during the various consolations FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses. Among the 7-year-old horses, it was the American lady rider Stefanie Saperstein who set the best time at the end of part 2 with her Zangersheide-bred mare Honesty CTV Z, a daughter of Hoegie van 't Bergske and Mozart des Hayettes who was bred was by the trio Casais-Thonon-Vanhoutte and who also comes out of the same dam line as the 1m60 show jumpers Oreade Des Dames and Poker Des Dames. Saperstein and Honesty CTV Z finished in 59.23 seconds in this speed class and with that they did not only beat the competition, they were also at the head of an integral Zangersheide podium!
Second place went to Hendrik Denutte with the mare Nevada Quality Z, who was bred by Quality Stud of Koen Terreyn. Nevada Quality is a daughter of Numero Uno and Argentinus and comes out of the full sister of Nick Skelton's former top stallion Arko III. Denutte and Nevada Quality Z had taken the lead a few combinations before Saperstein with a time of 59.24 seconds and so the finish times were very close again, just like yesterday during the very exciting denouement of the Sires of the World!
Third place went to the grey gelding Artiste Mury Marais Z under the saddle of Patrick Mc Entee, the former Belgian rider who has been riding for Azerbaijan for several years now. Artiste Mury Marais Z was bred by Catherine De Buyl Horse Insurance and is a son of Aktion Pur Z out of a Carthago Z mare, who, in addition to Artiste Mury Marais Z, also produced the 1m50 jumpers Carvella Z and the 1m45 jumping Action One Mury Marais Z.
