It seems like a déjà vu because the second week of the 2020 Vilamoura Atlantic Tour had just the same ending as the week before. The Frenchman Titouan Schumacher has been unbeatable in the Portuguese three-star Grands Prix for two weekends in a row. He gained both victories with the same horse: Atome Z, who was bred by Haras des Brimbelles. This 13-year-old offspring of Amadeus Z x Toulon competed against 11 other opponents in the jump-off. With five double clear combinations, the time was all-decisive. As the very last to go in the jump-off, Titouan Schumacher and Atome Z knew what to do: staying clear and finishing faster than 39.12 seconds. Without faults and in a time of 39.08 seconds, Schumacher and Atome Z were victorious for the second week in a row!
Also with Amak des Brimbelles Z (Amadeus Z x Diamant de Semilly) Titouan Schumacher secured a second place. In the 1.40m class with two phases they only had to accept another French combination in front of them, Jerome Hurel and Farouk de Hus Z (For Hero de Hus x Argentinus).
The Italian Marta Bottanelli jumped to second place with Vestigho Z (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Farmer) in the 1.35m speed class. Athletix Hero Z became fifth and sixth at 1.35m level. This descendant of Aganix du Seigneur Z has Class of Touch Hero (1.45m with Dermott Lennon) as his dam and world champion Liscalgot as his grand dam.
Mama Mia Picobello Z was placed third in the 1.20m jump-off with her 13-year-old Czech lady rider Anna Marie Vitek. This mare of Mr. Blue is the half-sister to the 1.60m horses Born to Be Picobello Z (Scott Keach) and Concentus 4 (Jens Christ).
