With an international show in both the Sentower Park of Opglabbeek and in Courrière, the past weekend was particularly busy on Belgian soil. At the new international show in Courrière, we got a blue/yellow Grand Prix victory on Sunday thanks to lady rider Charlotte Philippe with the 11-year-old mare Cacharel de Amoranda Z, a daughter of Corlensky G and Lord Z who was bred by Felipe De Azevedo and Amelie Geradon Luiz. Philippe and Cacharel de Amoranda Z were also placed on Thursday and Friday and confirmed their good form with a resounding victory in the CSI2* GP.
In addition to Cacharel de Amoranda Z, several other Zangersheide horses were placed in this Grand Prix. There was a 4th place for Frédéric Vernaet with Born To Win Ap Z (Bentley van de Heffinck x Toulon – B: Piet Calmeyn), a 7th place for Brecht Goossens with Forgiven Z (For Passion d'Ive Z x Coriano Z – B: Bart Hannaert) and a 10th place for Thierry Goffinet with Cadet du Ruisseau Z (Chellano Z x Carthago Z – B: Andre Vandepapeliere). Both Vernaet with Born To Win Ap Z and Goossens with Forgiven Z were also placed during the 1.45m high Longines Ranking class on Friday with an 8th and 5th place respectively.
On Saturday morning Virginie Thonon had already secured a Zangersheide victory in the 1.35m class.
