GP successes for studbook Zangersheide

The Zangersheide studbook achieved many Grand Prix successes last weekend.

The 10-year-old Clintissima van Spalbeek Z delivered the greatest performance. Together with her Italian lady rider Aurora Bortolazzi, this mare by Clintissimo Z x Picasso Z won the 1.50m three-star GP of Gorla Minore.

Michael Pender, who took two-times silver at the world championships for five and six-year-olds, again rode to the podium in Vilamoura. The Irishman became third with Casanova van Overis Z (Casper van Erpekom Z x Nonstop) in the CSI3* GP. Omer Karaevli finished in a shorter jump-off chrono with Cheston de la Pomme d’Or Z (Chippendale Z x Contendro II), but a bar put them in sixth place.

In Oliva-Valencia, it was Pius Schwizer with Chidame Z who won first prize. They outclassed the competition in the two-star grand prix. 11 years ago Chidame Z (Chippendale Z x Quidam de Revel) was even born at Studfarm Zangersheide and comes out of the same dam line as Clintrexo Z.

Mister Z, of Mr. Blue x Chin Chin who originally called Mister Picobello Z, and the Austrian Christian Juza jumped to second place in the 2* GP of Wiener Neustadt.

Guillaume Batillat finished in fifth place with Dominant 2000 Z (Diamant de Semilly x Cassini I) in the French Grand Prix of Barbizon. Robinson Maupilier and Curiano van Maarle Z (Canabis Z x Germus R) gained exactly the same result in the 1.45m GP of Opglabbeek.
