El Barone 111 Z moves to Malin Baryard-Johnsson!

The Swedish rider Malin Baryard-Johnsson has welcomed a new horse in her stables. She receives the stallion El Barone 111 Z from the Swedish Lövsta Stuteri. The new duo will make their debut later this month at a new edition of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva.

The now 9-year-old El Barone 111 Z was bred by Harrie Theeuwes and Baron De Borrekens and is a son of Emerald Van 't Ruytershof and Libero H. As a young horse, Eric Laenen van de Roshoeve acquired the stallion half and took him as a 3-year-old (in 2015) to the stallion inspection of Studbook Zangersheide where he was approved for breeding.

After he received his training under the saddle of Bob Janssens, including a 2nd place in the final classification of the PAVO Stallion Competition for 6-year-old stallions, lady rider Rachel Steffen took place in the saddle more than 2 years ago. They won a class at the international show jumping of Liège and were also twice 3rd in the Sentower Park. Last year he could be seen under the saddle of Pieter Kenis, with a 9th place in the CSI2 * GP at the Italian Gorla Minore in October.

But now it is Malin Baryard Johnsson who will take over the reins from the bay stallion: "I am very happy to be able to work with such a promising super talent and look forward to our future together."

El Barone 111 Z has been immensely popular with breeders for the past 2 seasons. The older offspring show great jumping talent and are very popular at European foal auctions. He also has several approved sons.

“It's fantastic that El Barone 111 Z is so popular in the most influential countries in international top sport. He has covered about 500 mares in Europe this year and last year. We look forward to seeing Malin compete with him in the big arenas, ”said Malin Cohlin, Station Manager Lövsta Seminstation.
