An hour after the start of the CSIU25 competition, also the riders of the CSI3* competition could start their final week of the Z-Tour 2022 this afternoon. Their opening class was a 1.40m class in two phases special at the Ratina Z Arena, in which it was the British lady rider Chloé Aston who claimed the victory! In the saddle of her now 17-year-old gelding Amigo T (Padinus x Libero H), Aston rushed to the finish in 31.56 seconds in the second phase, adding another victory to her list of honors.
Second place again went to the Dutch lady rider Kim Emmen with her 12-year-old mare Farah (Arezzo VDL x Concorde), with whom she already won a class last week and also finished second twice. This time she crossed the finish line in 31.88 seconds and with that she secures again a top ranking. The Belgian rider Jens Vandenberk followed in third place with his 13-year-old grey mare Cynthia Z (Calvados Z x Turbo van het Gestelhof), with whom he won the 1.35m class last Sunday. Vandenberk also managed to keep all the poles in the cups in both the first and the second phase and this in a time of 32.77 seconds.
Maxime Harmegnies wins the 1.30m class
After the CSIU25 class, also a CSI3* 1.30m class was scheduled this afternoon at the Ramiro Z Arena. The victory went to the Belgian rider Maxime Harmegnies with the 11-year-old gelding Lester (Elvis Ter Putte x Lord Z). In a class against the clock, Harmegnies and Lester crossed the line in 58.18 seconds and with that they ensured another Belgian victory.
The Swedish lady rider Erika Lickhammer-Van Helmond followed in second place with 7-year-old mare Koberlina TN (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Verdi TN). She also managed to ensure a clear round here, but with a time of 59.21 seconds it took her over a full second longer than Harmegnies and Lester. Finally, the Dutch rider Lars Kersten completed the podium in third place. He finished with the 8-year-old mare Big Beauty Z (Big Star Jr K Z x Padinus) in 59.91 seconds.
