The Brazilian rider Pedro Junqueira Muylaert and Chief Tibri Z MFS jumped over the symbolic 2m in St. Lô and became the winners of the six bars. 13 candidates participated in this class and with the last fence at a height of 1.90m, 8 combinations were still in the running. Ultimately, only the ten-year-old Chief Tibri Z MFS (VDL Corland x Berlin) from breeder Aster Pieters was able to clear the fence of 2 meters. Anna-Julia Kontio from Finland and Callas AH Z (Contact van de Heffinck) ended tied second with four penalty points in the fourth jump-off.
A victory in the six bars wasn’t Pedro Junqueira Muylaert only top result during Meeting d’Automne 2019 in Saint-Lô. Previously, he already jumped to a second place in the 1.40m opening class against the clock with Chief Tibri Z MFS and on top of all that he also became the runner up in the three-star GP. Therefore he saddled Prince Royal Z MFS (originally Prince Royal Z de la Luz), a son of Prince de Revel x Ramiro Z bred by Ricardo and Marleen Kierkegaard-Melchior.
In the one star GP with obstacles at a height of 1.35m, the double clear performance of home rider Reynald Angot with Double Trouble v Overis Z (Darco x Cento) was good for fifth place. At 1.30m level, Axelle Lagoubie finished in third place with Feeling de Hus Z (For Hero de Hus x Cornet Obolensky) in the class with two phases. Eden Leprevost Blinlebreton and Copacabana of the Paddocks Z (Coriano Z x Papillon Rouge) ended fifth. Bjorn Vandenbossche also took fifth place in the speed class with Ascaina Z, a seven-year-old daughter of Asca Z x Caretano Z, bred by Studfarm Zangersheide. Hugo Paris followed in sixth place with Confetti d'Auge Z (Commissario x Dollar du Murier). In the 1.25m class against the clock the victory went to Daniel Delsart and Charlie Brown Z (Canabis Z x Latano I).
