Last month in Bonheiden we saw Marlon Modolo Zanotelli for the first time in the saddle of Casse-Tout Z (breeder: Koen Van Laer). The 10-year-old chestnut of Clinton I x Chellano Z participated in his first international GP and immediately secured a second place. Last weekend the two again appeared at the start in Sentower Park, where they again finished second in the Grand Prix out of no less than 80 combinations! The time allowed was the biggest stumbling block in this GP. Nine combinations ended with just one penalty point for time. Marlon Zanotelli and Casse-Tout Z were one of the five combinations that managed to keep the zero on the scoreboard. In the jump-off again four clear rounds were ridden, three of them by Irish riders. Zanotelli and Casse-Tout Z ensured that the top three was not completely green, white and orange colored.
Leonie Peeters finished 0.10 seconds outside the time allowed and became sixth with Tinkoucha Hero Z (Tinka's Boy x Diamant de Semilly) who was born at Luc Henry.
The Zanotelli family had a great weekend in Opglabbeek, because Marlon's wife Angelica Augustsson also became third in the final class for seven-year-olds. She rode Corsica De Greenbay Z, a Calido I x Karioka del Follee offspring bred by Stephane Chantot. Antonia Andersson followed in fourth place with the Toulon daughter Sun Song, who originally called Touch of Dutch Z. Sun Song is the half-sister to Curious George (Codex One) who jumps at the highest level with Laura Kraut. Giampiero Garofalo and the Verdi son Verde Z finished third in the opening class for seven-year-olds.
The final for five and six-year-olds was won by Apollo van de Kattevennen Z and his Finnish lady rider Elena Hietanen. This five-year-old son of Aktion Pur Z x Darco (breeder: BVBA Spronken) also won the opening class.
Moreover, there were also classifications for Comme One Z (Comme d'Api vd Hacienda Z x Kannan) who ended third with Leonie Peeters in the 1.40m leveled speed class. In the 1.30m class against the clock, Richard Howley became second with Bellisima Z (Berlin x Ramiro Z), followed by Anouk Kort and Chivas AP Z (VDL Cardento x Indoctro) in third place.
Joanna Parkinson won the closing 1.20m class with La Grande Z, a Lawito x Canabis Z from breeder Gestüt Lewitz/Paul Schockemöhle. The Czech Valentyna Kukova ended third with Spotlight Z (Satisfaction FRH x Caritano Z). Volha Charnyshova from Russia took fourth place with Casall Lady Z (Casall ASK x Contender), after a second place the day before.
