The closing three-star Grand Prix was the highlight of the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour’s first week. 31 participants competed in this Portuguese GP. Titouan Schumacher opened the course with Atome Z and immediately set the tone with a clear round. However, the first round was quite a challenge. Besides Titouan Shumacher, Mathieu Billot (Quel Filou 13) was the only one who managed to clear the 1.50m course. With only two Frenchmen qualifying for the jump-off, it woud be a French victory in any case.
Titouan Schumacher opened the jump-off as well with his 13-year-old son of Amadeus Z x Toulon, bred by Haras des Brimbelles. They put down a second clear in a time of 40.88 seconds. Mathieu Billot also remained double clear, but finished slightly slower in 41.17 seconds.
Silvio Teixeira da Silva from Brazil won a 1.30m class with Charme de Atie Z (Coltaire Z x Quito de Baussy).
At the five-year-olds, American Emily Sage grabbed second place with Colibria II Z (Clinton I x Calvaro Z).
Chloe Aston won a class for six-year-olds with Nanuchka van Berkenbroeck Z (Non Stop x Concorde). Antoine Helie followed in third and in fourth place with Kid des Brimbelles (Kannan x Bon Ami) and Azote des Brimbelles Z (Amadeus Z x Toulon), who is the full brother to GP winner Atome Z. In another class for six-year-old horses, Hugo Carvallo and Chede N Z (Chellsini Z x L'Amour Utopia) also jumped to third place.
At the seven-year-olds, Chloe Aston was again among the winners. This time, she finished second with Nistria Chanti Z (Nabab de Reve x Diamant de Semilly).
