Today the Belgian riders managed the second qualifier of the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championships for 7-year-old horses. It was Gregory Wathelet who claimed the victory with Argentina de la Marchette, a daughter of Acajou de la Marchette who was bred by his father Hubert and with whom he also won the Belgian Championships in Gesves last month. In this 1m40 class against the clock they set the winning time on 61.18 seconds.
Also the second place stayed in Belgium thanks to Wilm Vermeir and the grey mare Hotshot (Carembar de Muze - Breeder: B.L. Borghuis). Vermeir stopped the clock in 62.52 seconds and was more than half a second ahead of the number three in the ranking. That honor was for the German rider Felix Hassmann, who was in the saddle of the Holstein-approved stallion Quiwitino WZ (Quiwi Dream - Breeder: Sören von Rönne). They reached the finish in 63.08 seconds.
The fourth place was for the Italian Nico Lupino. He finished in 63.84 seconds with the SBS-approved stallion Mylord Carthender Dei Folletti (Mylord Carthago - Breeder: Salvatore Merendino). Frenchman Francois Xavier Boudant completed the top five. He finished with Gfe Cicave du Talus (Untouchable M - Breeder: Jacques Le Boedec) in 64.79 seconds.
