In recent days, Aganix du Seigneur Z has once again left his mark on both sport and breeding. A few weeks ago he already delivered the auction topper during the first edition of HX Auctions in the Netherlands, and he did so again on Wednesday evening during the Belgian Warmblood Stallion Auction.
The topper of the evening was the 3-year-old stallion Artist van den Driehoek Z, a son of Aganix du Seigneur Z out of the mare Gracile (Quasimodo Vd Molendreef), who jumps at 1.45m level with Cecilie Tofte and who also jumped in the past under the saddle of the brothers Olivier and Thibault Philippaerts. Artist van den Driehoek Z was presented at the Belgian Warmblood Stallion Approvals by his breeders Jules Geuens and Toon Raeymaekers and it was Axel Verlooy who bought him during the auction evening after a long bidding duel for an amount of no less than 150,000 euros!
Yesterday evening there was even more good news for the chestnut stallion of Studfarm Zangersheide. At the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, the first round of the WEF Challenge Cup was won by Lillie Keenan with Agana Van het Gerendal Z, a son of Aganix du Seigneur Z and Topas bred by Ben Verhey and Stal Gerendal. In a jump-off for which 17 combinations were able to qualify, Keenan and Agana Van het Gerendal Z managed to outsmart the competition with their time of 39.95 seconds.
