Prince Royal Z wins WEF Grand Prix

Both on Thursday and on Friday Z-horses won the GPs at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington. On Friday, in the GP with a prize pot of 130,000 USD the thirty years old Brazilian Pedro Muylaert won on Prince Royal Z (Prince de Revel). This horse was bred by Marleen Melchior and jumped for Uruguay in the last Olympics in Rio. He just missed the finals there. Early 2017 the horse was sold to the Brazilian, who dedicates this, his first great victory to the rider who died in an accident last year in Wellington, Andres Rodriguez. On Thursday the same combination had also become second in the WEF Cup, which was won by the Chilean Sam Parrot on Atlantis W Z (Andiamo Z), ex-Caroline Poels-Devos.
