Zangersheide Quality Auction breaks worldwide records with epic auction night
The Zangersheide Quality Auction of the 25 of September 2021 will go down in history as a world record-breaking edition. The highest knock down price for a foal and the average price of all the lots together in the auction are unprecedented! Colt foal Especial For Fun Z was sold for a whopping 160.000,- euro. Followed by Cartina JL Z as the highest selling filly for 135.000,- euro.
If there was ever a night to remember it was Saturday night at Domain Zangersheide in Lanaken. The second auction day held during the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses was an even bigger success than the first day.
On Saturday night 38 foals went under the hammer and ranked up a phenomenal average price of 43.895 euro. Top contributor to this number was Especial For Fun Z, born out of Luciana Diniz’ 1.70m jumping mare Fit for Fun. The colt foal that was sold to Germany, boasts a success-proven pedigree combining Eldorado van de Zeshoek with a dam by For Pleasure. Like last week’s Rolex Grand prix winner of Aachen; Daniel Deusser’s Killer Queen VDM and Max Kühner’s Elektric Blue P who won the Rolex Grand Prix of the Dutch Masters in Den Bosch this year.
Cartina JL Z (by Carthago Z x Nabab de Reve), bred out of Jos Lansink’s legendary mare Valentina van ‘t Heike, was knocked down for 135.000,- euro to Swiss buyer. The fillies overall sold very-well this evening with an average price of 52.571,43 euro. The colts raised an average selling price of 38.833,33 euro.
Combined over the two auction evenings the foal that completes the top three of highest selling lots is History JT Z. The fantastic colt sired by Heartbreaker out of a Carthago Z-mare is the full brother to Olympic Stallion Hardrock Z and sold for 86,000 euro to South African clients on Friday night.
With buyers from all over the world tuning in, there is no surprise the foals have found new owners all over the globe. As far away as the Unites States of America and closer to home with multiple foals remaining in Belgium and others leaving for Brazil, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Hungary, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
