'Transfer hour'

Due to the disappearance of shows such as Jumping Mechelen and The Liverpool International Horse Show, the sporting part of 2021 has already been closed for several weeks at most stables. In terms of transfer news, on the other hand, there was still a lot of news to pick up last week and some Zangersheide horses also changed rider and/or owner. We are happy to give you an overview.

Cerruti Van Ter Hulst Z

The best-known name in this list is undoubtedly that of the 11-year-old gray mare Cerruti Van Ter Hulst Z, a daughter of Cassini I in combination with Corrado I. The breeding product of Bernard Duvillier regularly made Zangersheide news in the past year due to her good performances. under the saddle of the Portuguese rider Luis Ferreira. In recent months, Ferreira and Cerruti Van Ter Hulst Z came in second during the CSI2* GP of Vidauban, while they also shone in Knokke Hippique with twice a second place and a third place and they recently finished twelfth during the World Cup in Lyon. .

With these performances, Cerruti Van Ter Hulst Z caught the eye of the Irish top rider Cian O'Connor, who can welcome a new asset to his stables. Cerruti Van Ter Hulst Z has already flown to Wellington where she will start in January at the Winter Equestrian Festival.

Electrique van Cauterhof Z

In addition to Cian O'Connor, American rider Kent Farrington has also expanded his 'Zangersheide collection' in recent weeks. Farrington already invested in the 8-year-old Comilfo Plus Z son Crack de Nyze Z at the beginning of this year and now adds the 7-year-old mare Electrique van het Cauterhof Z. After her training under Inge Carton, Electrique van het Cauterhof Z was bought last year by the German rider Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann. Last summer they managed to qualify three more times in the young horse classes during the Longines Global Champions Tour in Hamburg.

Untouch Z

On Belgian soil, there was transfer news to be found in the stables of rider Leonie Peeters. She saw the 11-year-old chestnut mare Untouch Z leave her stables. Untouch Z comes from the breeding of Jan Tops and is a daughter of the stallion Untouchable in combination with the mare Pristanna (Guidam), who jumped at 1.60m level with Daniel Deusser. Under the saddle of Peeters, Untouch Z jumped to top 10 placings in Knokke, Courrière, Kronenberg and Opglabbeek last year.

Esprit de l'Esprit Z

Finally, the young rider Bart Jay Junior Vandecasteele also saw an asset leave his stables in recent weeks. The Vandecasteele family recently said goodbye to the 9-year-old mare Esprit de l'Esprit Z, a daughter of Elvis Ter Putte and Quantum, who was bred by Nico Esprit.

Esprit de l'Esprit Z has formed a strong duo with Bart Jay Junior Vandecasteele for the past 2.5 years. They started in 2019 in the Children classes, but then grew together up to 1.45m level. For example, they won 1.40m classes in Lier, Cagnes-sur-Mer and Opglabbeek and they finished third in both the Junior Grand Prix of Valkenswaard and the U25 Grand Prix of Lier.
