Successes in Kronenberg!

Most attention went undoubtedly to the Prague Playoffs last weekend, but also in Peelbergen Equestrian Center, Kronenberg, there was again an international show and there was a lot of Zangersheide success to note once more.

On Saturday, for example, during the closing CSI2* GP there was a nice 2nd place for the Brazilian rider André Reichmann with the 10-year-old grey gelding Quinetto Z (Quinar Z x Couletto – B: Dagmar Cickborn). In a jump-off for which 16 combinations managed to qualify, Reichmann and Quinetto Z again ensured a clear round and in the end they only had to tolerate the Dutch rider Patrick Lemmen (Full Option Van'T Zand) in front of them.

On Friday we also got a blue/yellow victory in the 1.40m high qualifier for the Medium Tour thanks to the British rider Joe Clee with the also 10-year-old gelding Axel 111 Z (Action Breaker x Chatman – B: Axel Theeuwes & Stal H. Theeuwes ). With a clear round in 56.94 seconds, Clee and Axel 111 Z were more than a full second ahead of the competition.

In the same class we also saw two other Zangersheide horses in the top 5 of the ranking. For example, the Dutchman Remco Been took 4th place with the 12-year-old stallion Balou van het Molenhof Z (Berlin x Grand Pilot I – B: Armand Van Tricht) and the 5th place went to the Japanese rider Eiken Sato with the 8-year-old Zangersheide-approved grey stallion Cosmos Z (Chellano Alpha Z x Artos – B: Studfarm Zangersheide), a grandson of Judy Ann Melchior's former Grand Prix mare Cherry Z (Carthago Z). A day later, Sato and Cosmos Z also secured a 4th place in the 1.40m/1.45m class.

Remco Been was also placed twice with the 9-year-old gelding Bridgetown Z (Big Star Jr K Z x Carolus H – B: M.J. Greeve). They started their show on Thursday with a 3rd place in the 1.35m class and a day later did just a little better in the 1.35m class with a 2nd place.

Another combination that also managed to jump into the spotlight twice was Jens Vandenberk with the 12-year-old grey mare Cynthia Z (Calvados Z x Turbo van 't Gestelhof – B: Theo Kelchtermans). During the opening day on Thursday, Vandenberk and Cynthia Z became 2nd in the same 1.35 class, just ahead of Been and Bridgetown Z and on Saturday there was a 4th place in the 1.40m class.

Finally, during the 1.45m high Longines Ranking class on Thursday, there was again a top performance for the Dutch lady rider Manon Hees and the 9-year-old mare Echo VH Gerendal Z (Echo van 't Spieveld x Jodokus – B: Ben Verhey), with whom she reached the top of the rankings several times in recent weeks. In a 22-strong jump-off, Hees and Echo VH Gerendal Z again remained clear and this time this resulted in a 3rd place.
