Studbook Zangersheide celebrates its breeders with Z-ranking bonus

Before the Belgian Championship for Seniors this afternoon in the Ratina Z Arena, Studbook Zangersheide first took the time to pay tribute to its loyal breeders. Fot some years now Zangersheide offer an extra service to its breeders Zangersheide by keeping a ranking of horses registered at birth with Studbook Zangersheide and who perform in the international sport. During the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses the breeders of the top three ranked horses are awarded a premium.

Bonfois van't Hof V Eversen Z
The honor of the best Zangersheide horse of the past year was given to the 7-year-old gelding Bonfois van't Hof V Eversen Z, a son of Bisquet Balou van de Mispelaere and Nonstop bred by Ronny Maes. Bonfois van't Hof V Eversen Z was schooled by Leen Braeckmans and since the middle of last year he forms a strong duo with Koen Vereecke. From January till now they managed to win no less than 16 international classes, not to mention the numerous other top rankings they scored.

Donna VD Windeweg Z
Koen Vereecke played a significant role on the ranking of this horse as well, because the number two in the ranking is the 11-year-old mare Donna VD Windeweg Z, a daughter of Diamant de Semilly and Indoctro that was bred by and is still owned by Luc Deknudt. Earlier this year Vereecke and Donna VD Windeweg Z won a Longines Ranking class during the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour of Oliva and in May they did exceptionally well by winning a 1.40m/1.45m class three days in a row at Sentower Park in Opglabbeek.

Also, during their last joint appearance at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre Vereecke and Donna VD Windeweg Z were on top of their game againa and scored a first and a 2nd place. Since early this summer Luc Deknudt has stabled the apple of his eye with Gudrun Patteet and together they already achieve some successes. In July they jumped twice to a 5th place in a 1.45m class at the Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard.

Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z
In 3rd place we see the 13-year-old chestnut stallion Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z, the son of Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve and Mr. Blue and one of the top horses of Stephex rider Daniel Deusser. The breeding product of Jonas Bellemans owes this third place in the Z-ranking to his strong performance at the end of last year and the first months of this year. In that period Daniel Deusser and Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z won the CSI4* GP of St. Tropez, the CSI5* World Cup Qualifier in Riyadh and twice the Grand Prix at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington.
