Jeroen Appelen leads after 2nd round Belgian Championship
In the second round of the Belgian Senior Championships, only five combinations crossed the finish line without any penalties. Jeroen Appelen (Lunatique de Kwakenbeek, Cicero Z Van Paemel) came out on top. Jeroen ranked third yesterday and today he was the only one of yesterday's top three to stay clear.
Appelen thus takes the provisional lead in the BC. Andres Vereecke (Call me de Muze Z, Clarissimo Z) also went clear today, jumping from eighth to second place. Outgoing vice Belgian champion Thibeau Spits and King Van Essene (Calido I) are now third, ahead of Jordy Van Massenhove (Gaga E d'Augustijn, Bustique).
Nicola Philippaerts (H&M Luna van 't Ruytershof, Levisto Z) also did not catch a rail and follows in fifth place. Jos Verlooy and Nixon van 't Meulenhof (Denzel van 't Meulenhof) came out with four time faults.
