Czech victory in first qualification for 6-year-old horses
No less than 265 horses participated in the first qualifier for 6-year-old horses in Zangersheide. 85 of them managed to jump up a double clear round and it was the Czech Sara Vingralkova who took home the winning. She finished in 26.63 secondes with Damocles from Second Life Z (Diamant de Semilly - Breeder: Thierry Hendrix). The second place stayed in Belgium, thanks to Andres Vereecke. He stopped the clock in 27.28 seconds with Noyelle vd Begijnakker (Kannan - Breeder: BVBA de Begijnakker). Great-Britain claimed third place: Matthew Sampson, who finished 4th in the first qualifier last year, and Ivory (Don VHP Z - Breeder: Castell Sport Horses) stopped the clock in 27.45 seconds. Dieter Vermeiren and Etoile van de Neerheide Z (Emerald van 't Ruytershof - Breeder: Yacelo NV) finished fourth in 27.66 seconds. Ronnie Jones and Interstar B (I'm Special de Muze - Breeder: J. Berendsen) closed the top five by ending their jump-off in 27.96 seconds.
